Solo Project Status: On Tour Fastlife: OUT NOW! Latest Single: "Just In Love" Official Site
It’s that time again—more music from Joe Jonas. And it’s E! News who’s giving you the exclusive world premiere of the video for “Just In Love,” the second single from his upcoming debut solo album. Check it out!
Joe definitely proves that a certain French city is all about love, and he tells me why:
“We shot it in Paris so naturally it’s supposed to be passionate and romantic,” Jonas recently told me. “We found a beautiful girl lead. I feel it’s a video that might shock people a little bit.”
“No, I’m not naked and she’s not naked,” he said, laughing. “But I think it’s a little bit, well, I’ll just say it’s a little bit older than anything I’ve done before.”
As for the ongoing speculation of which of his new songs may be about famous ex-girlfriends (ahem, Taylor Swift and Demi Lovato), Jonas said, “There will come a time for me to explain some of the songs but right now, I like to watch what people speculate. I like to sit back and laugh when they think it’s someone I wrote about and it’s definitely not.”
Jonas also revealed there are no set plans to go back into the studio with his brothers.
“We need our own time,” he said. “We need to able to take time for ourselves. That could be six months or it could be three years. It all depends.”
We have the world premiere of Joe Jonas‘ new single “Just In Love,” here is what Joe had to say about the premiere of his new single: “I am very excited to premiere my new single ‘Just In Love’ for you guys. This is a song I wrote when I was going through a relationship with somebody. She arguing with me, and all I could do was say ‘Listen, I love you, but we don’t need to go through this.’ So, this this is called ‘Just In Love.’”
Listen to “Just In Love” below.
Joe also added, “We shot the video in Paris and I cant wait to share it with the world.” The video for “Just in Love” will premiere on Monday night on E! News. The video is pretty edgy for Joe, but I think you guys will dig it.
Singer will be opening for Britney Spears in Europe next month
After six years as a member of the Jonas Brothers, middle brother Joe is striking out on his own. In addition to a solo tour with Jay Sean and JoJo and October dates in Europe opening for Britney Spears, he’s got his first album, Fast Life, coming out October 11th. “About a year and a half ago I sat down with my brothers and said, ‘Listen, guys, I want to create something a little bit different than what we’ve been doing,’” he tells Rolling Stone. “The music I like, it’s just very kind of urban, hip-hop, dance stuff, electronic stuff.”
Fast Life isn’t just a showcase for his varied musical tastes – he also calls it a very personal work. “I wanted to be able to create something that spoke volumes about what I’ve gone through the past few years,” he says.
That led to revealing moments lyrically, which made Jonas nervous at first. “‘I’m Sorry’ was the number one song that was really a lot to put on the table. It was a really personal song about something I was going through in a relationship,” he says. “To put it all out there and just be that vulnerable is not always easy, but I was really happy with the outcome.”
Jonas is looking forward to taking the material on the road, where he promises he will be previewing more of Fast Life, including the songs “Kleptomaniac” and “All This Time,” but he’s particularly excited about opening for Spears. “Britney is an incredible artist and she’s been doing it for so long now, to be able to get on the road with her will be a lot of fun,” he says. Are the two friends? “I don’t necessarily know her that well, but I obviously know her music very well and I’ve met her a couple of times. She’s very sweet.”
But yes, the Jonas Brothers will go on. “With my brothers we’re definitely gonna create more music down the line. Right now we’re just focusing on our individual stuff,” he says. “But we’ll definitely be doing it soon.”
The JoBro says he’s been working for over a year on a stage act to match his dance-heavy solo album.
Joe Jonas is gearing up for a very busy fall: He’s heading out on the road with Jay Sean for a 19-city tour; his first solo album, Fast Life, hits stores October 11, and then he’ll jet off with Britney Spears for the European leg of her Femme Fatale Tour. Though his single, “See No More,” has been out for months, and he’s been performing all over the place lately, there’s still a chance this Jonas brother’s new sound might surprise his longtime fans.
“The biggest difference is a little bit more urban and dance electronic stuff,” Jonas told MTV News at the mtvU VMA Concert to Benefit Lifebeat – Music Fights HIV. “I’ve been influenced by a lot of different artists throughout my life and this is my opportunity to kind of show the world a little bit more about what I like writing and what I like coming up with musically.”
If he’s delivering that kind of sound, fans will probably expect him to show off his dance moves onstage, and Jonas says he’s been working to perfect them for quite some time.
“It was a little bit difficult in the beginning to feel comfortable with it,” Jonas said of learning his dance steps. ” I’ve been rehearsing for a little over a year with Marty, who’s a choreographer I work with, and he’s made me feel a lot more comfortable onstage, a lot more comfortable in my own skin, which made the whole process 100 percent better.”
Just last week, Jonas unveiled Fast Life’s album cover, which he said is the perfect representation of the upcoming release.
“We had a couple of photo shoots trying to decide which direction we wanted to go in,” Jonas said of the album cover. “And just kind of came together with having a really cool background and explaining Fast Life.”
So what do those words mean for Jonas?
“I think my life has been so crazy busy for the past year and a half, and I kind of wanted to show people a little bit more of what my life is about, bring them into it a little bit more, so that’s been a fun experience.” Jonas said.
Joe Jonas is coming back to the big screen — but not in a concert movie.
The 22-year-old musician tells EOnline about the exciting news, “I was in Mexico City last week and my manager called me and said, ‘The movie’s financed!’ I was, like, in tears.”
“The storyline is still bare bones,” Joe added, “but I will say he has a specific dream that he wants to accomplish, and it’s the good and the bad he has to go through to get there. It’s going to be an older-feeling kind of movie.”
Joe Jonas hits the stage with a studded vest as he performs at MTV’s Concert To Benefit Lifebeat held at the House of Blues on Saturday night (August 27) in West Hollywood, Calif.
The 21-year-old musician joined Cobra Starship and Miguel at the fest which benefitted Lifebeat and the organization’s HIV/AIDS outreach and support programs.
Even younger brother Nick showed up to support him!
