March 10, 2010, (Sawf News) – Demi Lovato says Joe Jonas is her best friend and hinted she could be on tour with him later this year.

She was speaking on Ryan Seacrest’s Morning Show on KIIS FM during a phone in interview to promote the second season of her TV series Sonny With a Chance which premieres on March 14.

Seacrest asked the 17-year-old Disney star if Joe Jonas was a best friend or a buddy.

“He is my best friend. He has always been my best friend, he always will. He is amazing,” Demi replied.

Seacrest expressed surprise that her best friend wasn’t a girl to which Demi responded.

“I have got several best friends, I have got a lot.”

Later in the interview, Demi hinted that she maybe touring with Joe.

Seacrest asked her if she was perhaps working on her third album.

“Hopefully, you never know, I could go touring again. Maybe with some friends. You never know,” she hinted coyly.

Asked if she could be touring with her “best” friend, Lovato demurred, “It could be with any of my friends.”

Kevin and Joe Jonas Did NOT Audition for Captain America Role
Filed under: Joe, Kevin | Posted by: | March 10th, 2010

Ah, just as we suspected. The story that Joe Jonas and Kevin Jonas auditioned for the role in the Captain America movie is completely bogus. Shocking!

Here’s the latest from one of my all-time favorite sites, Gossip Cop:

According to the site’s “sources,” the two brothers “have already read lines for the upcoming film” and are “in contention” for both the title role and other characters.

Wow! Which Jonas will it be?

AND HOW CAN THE COUNTRY SURVIVE A JONAS VS. JONAS COMPETITION FOR SUPERHERO GLORY?

(deep breath)

Not to worry.

They have not auditioned for Captain America.

A Marvel source laughed off the Jonas rumor and told Gossip Cop it was “not true.”

So, who is in the running for the Captain America role? According to The Hollywood Reporter, Wilson Bethel and Mike Vogel are. The part calls for a nine-picture deal, the second of which would be the “Avengers” movie. That project could start shooting as soon as January 2011.

EXCLUSIVE: ‘Captain America’ to Get the Bonus of Jonas?
Filed under: Joe, Jonas Brothers, Kevin | Posted by: | March 8th, 2010

Superhero films have become one of the hottest film commodities to come out in a long time. Whether its Spider-Man, X-Men, Iron Man or the plethora of other comic inspired films, one thing is for sure: the top talent in Hollywood want to be apart of it.

According to Hollywire sources, casting has just begun for the newest Marvel film, Captain America. And if teen girls are to make the final decision then they will be happy to hear Joe Jonas and Kevin Jonas have already read lines for the upcoming film and are in contention for both Captain America and other characters in the film. Wait, what about brother Nick?

It was said Kevin Jonas had the better audition and was more natural. Its also been stated more casting still needs to take place before any decisions are made. But its interesting to see what direction the highly potential hit film is taking.

With this news, Disney’s recent acquisition of the Marvel properties have begun to reveal its future intentions of adding their stars to huge film franchises in one way or another.

Does this mean we should look out for Miley Cyrus as the new Wonder Woman?

Zac Efron and Joe Jonas are the top contenders to be the next Spiderman‏
Filed under: Joe | Posted by: | March 2nd, 2010

Can this person get any ruder? I honestly think Joe would fit the part perfectly.

Inside sources are buzzing that Zac Efron and Joe Jonas are the top contenders to be the next Spiderman, since Tobey Maguire has bowed out of the franchise.

I actually think Efron would be a decent pick for the role, but Joe Jonas? I guess he kinda looks a bit like Ditko’s rendition, but give me a break, I’ve heard him sing, I can only imagine the stinki-tude of his thespian-ic abilities. I always thought Jake Gyllenhal would have been a good choice, but now he may be a bit old for the part, so I guess I’d have no problem with Zac taking over.

One thing about Raimi’s run on Spiderman that completely missed the mark, was the fact that he failed to incorporate any of the humor that was an inherent part of the comic books. I mean, the webbed crusader was damned FUNNY, he’d constantly be cracking wise while battling the evil doers, it was part and parcel to his whole persona. Tobey Maguire played him like a morose zombie. By making Web-head humorless, they cut out the heart of what endeared him to millions of fans. Whomever they pick to play Spidey in the next installment, they’ve got to address the problems of the first three and rectify it by injecting some levity into the proceedings!
